Since the kids got camping gear for christmas, we took a camping trip this weekend. It was a beautiful, wooded site on a lake with gorgeous rock formations and lots of hiking and climbing opportunities. As soon as we pulled into camp, my kids declared that I was to not try to turn the whole weekend into a lesson of some sort! Lol. But what they dont realize is that I didnt have to do a thing. They asked tons of questions of our friendly park ranger, were fascinated by the geological History of the place, and identified bones they'd found. They learned about stars, saw erosion in action, tracked wildlife, and experienced pioneer living. All.on.their. own. They've been trained to seek information and they dont even know it lol. I've never been more happy to be a homeschooler.
