My 8 year old recieved a keyboard for Christmas... we are going to try to start lessons in Febuary however she is axious to learn something NOW! I know nothing about piano and was wondering if there is something simple I could start her out doing besides just pounding keys... she got on YouTube and found the scale of C and can do it with both hands back and forward... any advice would be helpful

I would keep looking on YouTube for videos for beginners. It is really one of the best resources for educational videos & the best thing is if you don't like one there are tons more to pick from & it is free!

My son does this.  He loves it and loves being on his keyboard.
