Do any of you give out homework? I am new and I am looking forward to start homeschooling in August.

Nope. My two do all their work during school hours, then they're off the rest of the day. I think them having time to play and be kids is important, too. I'm not sure how old your kids are, though. Mine are 9, 7, and 4. The 4-year-old isn't doing formal school at this point.

My kids are older. They get an assignment sheet on Monday, due at 2 pm Friday. They can work on it whenever, however they wish as long as it gets done by 2 pm.

If it is not done they loose weekend activities which they cherish!

When they were young, we did dqily.assignment sheets and there were no electronocs or friends until they completed their daily sheet. Sometimes this meant they had school work in the evening more like "homework."

My DD calls it homework. lol :) she is 6 & any written work she does she calls it homework for some reason. But to answer the question, no I do not give homework like a PS teacher would.

They have homework for their co-op classes. At home we are just having fun learning.

No.  They have independent work, but we've never called it homework.

Ds does his assigned work for the day and then he is finished for the day.

Not regular homework. Both of mine do reading and one bigger writing assignment each week. Everything else is done during school time.
