Do you mix the two?

The kids help me garden but I don't have any 'school' lessons on it or anything. I believe they are learning plenty, though.

The best way to learn is by doing. I have a black thumb so I never did gardening with them but I wanted to. I just don't have the skill.

We're going to start our gardening again soon.  I counted it in the fall (we did plant cycle, compost, water cycle, weather, etc...)  I don't think I'll do it this spring, but next fall I'm going to do it again when we talk about genetics and such.

Well as you know we unschool so everything is learning here. That said we do have a small garden that we stared last year & have every intention of doing this year!

Love it. My kids are all teens, and we still look forward to gardening! Can't wait til this winter ends to get out and plant in the sunshine!
