Did you "Light it up Blue" Today?

We did!  My company had a competition to see who could wear the most blue...so here is what I wore today!  I didn't have a blue bag, so I whipped one up this morning, lol.

And this is me and my kids...once they saw my blue streaks, they wanted blue hair (and eyebrows for DS) too!

(and I think this is the first "selfie" I have ever taken, lol)

Did you do anything special today?  I was amazed at how many people asked us what the blue was for...I guess we really did spread some awareness today!

Nice!

We had nowhere to go today, but the boys wore blue and I changed my avatar on facebook to the blue puzzle piece inside the lightbulb.

I didn't even hear about it until the evening. No one mentioned it.

It is an organization that is supposed to help people with Autism but they reallydon't care what the people with Autism want! They think they all need to be cured or medicated but most of the people with Autism just want to be accepted the way they are!

I actually don't support Autism Speaks either...but wearing the blue really made people ask us and I was able to give my Autism speech...so I feel that wearing blue for me is supporting Autism awareness and Autism in general. I don't raise money for Autism Speaks, but I do like raising awareness about Autism and inspiring acceptance of everyone.
