So I'm thinking this summer of doing an Unit study on The Oregon Trail. I am looking on pinterest for ideas but wondered if anyone here has done an unit study on it.

ANy fun ideas?

Good books, links, projects?

We love to do hands on stuff and we do some worksheets too. I'm just looking for some fun ideas and different ways to teach it. My kids are 3 and 6.

Thanks :)

There is an Oregon Trail game on the computer. It is just like the original that I played as a kid. Love that game!

We're studying the Oregon trail right now too, but my kids are not fans of unit studies. I found two Dear America journals, one a boys perspective and the other is a young ladies view. I printed two copies of a period-accurate map for them to trace and follow the journey as they read the journal accounts. Its been fun!
