Homeschooling in NC

I was talking to another homeschooling mom yesterday. She said she had all of her child's attendance records and what not from the ps she went to. When I pulled my son they didn't give or send me anything. Should I contact them and try to get it from them?

Yes. I'm not sure of the law in NC, but you should be able to get your child's records from the school or the school board. After the horror stories I've heard and read lately, don't be surprised if they make you pay for the records, or if they tell you they require a court order or certified letter requesting the records. Look up your state laws regarding the records before you ask so you are prepared just in case.

You have to ask for them, but I'm not sure why you'd need them.

I don't have my son's. They aren't necessary.

I just wasn't sure if it was something I should have since I pulled him halfway through the school year.
