reading to older children

Do you read TO your older children? I think I'm going pick up a good series and read it to them. I miss those days of reading to them.

I don't read to my 9 year old anymore, I do miss those days but she enjoys getting one of her "older" books and reading it herself before bed while I do still read out loud to my 7 year old.

I try to, I just read The Phantom Tollbooth to them and they did a little lap book about it while I read. It was nice to know what they were reading for a change ;). They are 11 and almost 12 so they read alone at night. And my almost 12yo does not enjoy read alouds but my 11 yo does.
