I have been trying to teach my 3 yr old some pre school basics. He is complete opposite of my daughter who has always enjoyed learning, workbooks, writing, etc. My son does enjoy videos and books but Im looking for more ways to teach him. Any ideas are appreciated!

Songs! (Youtube probably has a bunch and I know amazon has various educational ones.)

Teach him by just talking out everyday stuff. Count out items at the grocery store as you pick them up or lay them out for a meal. Mention that the sky is blue or that the stop sign is red with white letters. Point out numbers on street signs.

Games - both outside and board games that could teach basics.

Lego math and whole body activities. Choose hands on activities.

Don't push writing if he isn't interested, but try to find other fine motor activities.

Stickers, stampers, stringing beads, lacing, pinching clothes pins around a jar, playdoh, scissors, etc...
