K-5 experiment with teeth :)

We are doing a science experiment. Ayden lost his first tooth yesterday! He is super cute with his little gap. His twin sister Ksthryne has been asking me to check her teeth about every hour (she is a bit jealous I think). So I explained that when they were babies, her first tooth came in three weeks after Ayden's first. Which gave me the idea.
I introduced the hypothesis that her first loose tooth will be in three weeks.
For the next three weeks we will check her teeth every morning and evening. The chart will have an X for no, a check for loose, and the image of a tooth for the day she looses it. Then we will compare to when she got her first tooth.
If it happens after three weeks we will continue the chart with a weekly update. The picture is my rough draft. I will do a more fancy version on poster later this week lol.

They will have small copies for their kindergarten science journals.

Really neat idea!!!  My youngest lost a tooth in May and hasn't had the next loose yet.  They were 3 weeks apart coming in so I assumed it wouldn't be far behind.  She has even been to the dentist since and NOTHING.  I wish you luck.

I love the idea!  So much better than those out of the book "expiriments"  which aren't really expiriments because the book has the answers you SHOULD get if you do it right.

I haven't started Science yet when I do, but when I do I want to do some open ended expiriments like that (I'll do the book kind too, but I'll call them "science demonstrations" in stead of "experiments."  One I've thought of when we get into temps/weather  is putting a thermometer on a kite and seeing if it's colder or warmer or the same temp up as far as the kite will go than on the ground.
