A lot of bigger hospitals will say that if you go for your BSN online they will allow you to as long as you finish your degree. Sometimes it depends on your expierence. For instance in my small thumb tack town there is one hospital and they don't allow internships in L&D or Nursery or NICU or Pediatrics. However, in the near by bigger town they have a postion for an internship in the NICU and a GN postion in the NICU. So, it really all depends on the hospital and where you work.
thats awesome! my dream is to be a ER nurse but i am starting slow at practical nursing first
A BSN and ADN are pretty much the same with the exception of a statics class and community health class. However, in our state and where we live there is like 24 jobs per person and 100 people per 1 house. Our state is trying to make it that all nurses in the hosiptal are required to be BSN and all nurse managers have to have their Masters. They did this like 10 years ago and ran into a major nursing shortage and shot themselves in the ass. So, I don't think it'll hold up long. We were just told that if you want a position at the local hospital be prepaired to be enrolled in a BSN online program before you apply.
