See what CafeMoms are saying about saving time this holiday season..
I walked in cap and gown in a GED/High School Completion ceremony. I received my GED certificate back on September 27th, 2011 and had the option of participating in this ceremony last night. It was awesome, albeit a little cheesy *I mean they played a crappy version of that music that graduates walk to*, but it was really nice. They even gave a nice certificate for being there. I *should have* graduated with my high school class on June 9th, 1997. So, 15 years later almost to the exact day, I actually walked to get that certificate :)
I wanted to thank those of you that cheered me on as I did my tests last year. Y'all were a great source of encouragement that I won't ever forget. You know who you are!
When I find the cord for my camera I can upload a few pics. That elusive creature called a camera cord has eluded me all day. I will try to look more tomorrow.
ETA: One of my longtime online friends told me that I could put my memory card into my laptop and download my pics that way. So...I did. There were over 50 pics taken on Friday night with my camera...but only a few actually made it. Most of them the lighting was way off or something else was really wonkie...
But here I am:
This is my GED instructor Dave and me...this man went through hell and back. Seriously. He almost died a couple years ago in a really bad car wreck. Now he walks with a walker and he talks with a really bad lisp...but he is awesome!
