Hi there ladies, just wondering what are some of your thoughts on elective c-sections.  For it, against it, or personal choice?

Against it. I was only able to have my first Naturally. My other 3 were C-Sections :(

(2nd was Breech, 3rd was a failed attempt at a VBAC, and 3rd was an automatic C-Section)

I believe that every woman has the right to give birth however they want to.

Personal choice.  I am not one to tell a woman what to do with her body.

For it. While my csections were not elective I think every woman should have that choice.

This...

BUT.. I know someone who asked her dr to perform a csection about three weeks before her due date just so she could attend her siblings wedding and not have to worry about going into labor or being in the hospital....
That I wouldn't do.

Let's hope the doctor wouldn't consider it either as that is WAY too early to have an elective c-section!  I don't think they allow them (or inductions) without medical reason prior to 39 weeks anymore.  :)
