"Dont let you son play with the barbie he might catch "IT"!!" Can you believe this mom said this??
This truely makes me sad inside. I found this a few minutes ago posted on a FB page. Apparently this mother thinks it is ok to use physical punishment on a 7 yr old boy simply because he was playing with a barbie doll in the tub, and she is not even 100% sure what the reason it. I feel so sad for this little boy. No matter what the reason,whether the daughter did it as a prank on her parents or if the boy really would rather play with the barbie of even if he was exploring his own body(which 7 yrs old seems to be about right) I want to see this boy and give him a big hug

Some people should NOT be parents. Spanked the child, presumably while he's naked and wet. Over a barbie.

:( How terribly sad. My ds is almost 7 and I wouldnt do that if he was playing with a barbie. Big deal.

WTF he's 7! My 6 yr old nephew plays with barbies with his sister it doesn't make him gay! I'm assuming she and her husband would beat him if he were gay? IMO that was abuse for spankIng the poor child for showering with a doll and even if he was exploring with himself doesn't mean he should be punished.. They are going to scar the poor child

Omg... I'm a "spanker", and do believe that proper spankings work in my house. So I'm not one that thinks a swat is abuse.
This, however, is humiliating, abusive, and WILL leave that child with issues as he grows. What the hell was the husband thinking, and how can the mother think that this is okay?
I hope this was made up just to get attention. If not, those people need to be given mandatory parenting classes, and some serious education on NORMAL childhood behavior.
Makes me sick! What if he WAS touching himself? Can you imagine the issues this is going to give him about sex & his body? Jesus.
