TMI question....

For the last 4 days my bowel movements have been very dark almost black in color. Should i be concerned about this or is this normal????

Hey, I would go to the doctor or hospital. Black poop can be a sign I internal bleeding. Good luck!

Yeah i have been having severe abdominal pain for a couple of wks now off and on. Got really really bad around the same time this started.

Have u changed anything in your diet? Drinking teas?

No i have to limit my caffeine intake due to my seizures so when i can drink caffeine its always my pepsi. I just cant give it up completly. Lol

I should mention there have been no major changes in my diet or medication. And i only drink 1 8 oz glass of Pepsi a week. I drink 6-8 8 oz glasses of water daily.

Iron makes your stools dark, our stools take on the color of consumption, if you eat that moon ice cream your stools will sometimes be a blueish color...sounds funny but it is the truth.

But if she had internal bleeding then blood would come out of her tear ducts, ears, nose ect. wouldn't it! I say iron, to much iron gives you darker stools and stomach pains.

Google.. why is my stools black? There will be a number of different things as to why.
