Do you make some? What kind do you use and what kind do you find that works the best?
I want to make some with vinegar and lemon juice. But not really sure how much to put in the bottle.
Any recipes??
I put white vinegar and lemen essential oil in a spray bottle, and that's what I clean grease with (stovetop, etc).
I make liquid laundry soap, but next time I'm going to try the dry.
Vinegar/lemon juice as your dishwasher rinse aide.
Vinegar as a fabric softener.
Coconut oil as toothpaste.
Coconut oil to fix up antique furniture.
Coconut oil as daily moisturizer.
Coconut oil in place of oils/butter in your kitchen.
Apple cider rinse on your pets to ward off insects/fleas/ticks.
Diotomaceous earth to kill ticks and fleas.
blah blah blah.....haha
Every since my mother brought her nasty, flea infested dog into my house my cats have been suffering. I have tried everything under the sun including two Vet visits - nothing seems to help. What is Diolomaceous earth and where do you get it?

I have 3 big dogs, 1 big cat. We have never used chemicals on them. I used to groom when I ran a dog kennel. Wash them in BLUE Dawn dish soap. That will kill anything on them. Rinse with a mix of water and apple cider vinegar. That will repel any future fleas. DE can be found at feed and grain stores, garden stores, pet stores, and online. It's cheap. You HAVE to buy food grade. It's less than $20 for 10#. DE is a fossel. It's ground down, and if you were to look at it under a microscope there are tiny sharp edges to it. It's greyish brown in color and very light and powdery. It's very safe, it's used in grains all the times to kill insects. You eat a little bit of it every day. I also have chickens, so I sprinkle it in their house and in their yard. Although chickens do LOVE to eat bugs...it will also help to 'de-worm' them....so no chemicals in my chickens either. You can sprinkle the DE on your floor, on the pet, on their bed, etc. It's very dusty, be careful you don't breathe it in while sprinkling it. It slices the shell of exoskelital insects (fleas and ticks) and they die of dehydration. But it does not harm you or your pet.
If you have never bathed your cat before....it's always helpful to have 2 people, because you can do it faster. Tape the front legs together, tape the back legs together (at the paws), and hold the scruff of the neck real tight. Do it in the kitchen sink....less strain on your back, you can use your kitchen sprayer to wet them initially. And put a towel in the base of the sink so they aren't slipping all over the place.
Good Luck!

I do not make anything on my own. I have been thinking about making my own laundry detergent for cloth diapers though.
