My grandma's sisters breathing tube was just taken out and my uncle (my dad's brother, My dad passed 17 yrs ago) is in a coma.  On both sides of the family are going to die and it is my dd's birthday on monday. Last year on my dd's birthday my grandma died, I can't do this again.  She needs a good year.  Please God not on her day is all I ask....

I understand the feeling of just wanting a nice bday. We say we have a bday curse in our family, someone has always died on or near a birthday.

Wishing for the best for you.

That's awful. There's no reason you should tell her about it though. Don't ruin her day, it isn't necessary at all. If other people are going to be negative, don't have them around her that day. My husbands cousin was murdered on my oldest sons birthday, and every year his family acts like a group of idiots when they come to his birthday party. They are all depressed and change the subject of every conversation to focus on their loss. They haven't been invited to a birthday party in 5 years because of it. The ridiculous thing, is before the cousin was murdered, the family hated him. Now he's the golden boy, because of how people treat them over the loss.
