Poll

Question: BFing moms, have any of you ever wished you bottle fed?

Options:

No. I have never regretted my decision even once.

On occasion I also dream/ed of not having a baby attached night and day.

I regret breastfeeding, If I had to do all over again, I would have bottle fed.

I'm a bottle feeder but I wanted to vote anyways :-)

Not all the time of course.

When my youngest was born, she had a weak latch and fussed constantly at the breast. One day when she was a week old, I gave her a bottle out of sheer frustration. She downed that bottle like no body's business then slept for 2 straight hours. (We found out when she was a week and a half old that I wasn't producing enough)

At the next feeding she just fussed and fussed. I knew she wanted a bottle. It made sense to give her a bottle. Cost wasn't an issue, we had Wic but I just couldn't do it.... I stuck with it and "forced" my dd to nurse, lol. As she got older I regretted my decision occasionally; daydreaming about breaks and date nights with dh and just being able to put her down with a bottle and WALK AWAY.

Never.

I nursed both my boys - neither ever had any formula.

It was and never will be a decision I regret in the least.

You've never had a touched out day when the last thing you wanted a baby on your boob?

I have four babies and it took me 4 tries to be somewhat successful at it. He's 7 months now and I still nurse but have always supplimented. I'm just glad I finally was able to.

There were definitely days at work when I did NOT want to pump - and maybe a moment of "oh my gosh - give me one minute more - this isn't a good time..."  But I never ever regretted nursing.  (The touched out part would get me in other ways sometimes, but not for actually nursing.)

I remember the pumping! Uggghh...

The times I envied bottle moms was nap time/sleep time. I had to nurse both kids to sleep every single time, at the same time, lol.
