does your family make anything different from the normal

my family makes 

cranberry salad , it was my grandma's recipe

8oz cream cheese room  temp

2 tablespoon mayo

2 tablespoon sugar

1 can crushed pineapple reserve juices

1/2 cup pecans chopped

1 cp whipping cream

1 pack gelatin -not flavored

1 can whole cranberry sauce


dissolve gelatin in a few tablespoons of pineapple juice in the microwave

add to next 5 ingredients

-in separate bowl whip the cream to soft peaks an then fold in to 1st mixture

put in container an refrigerate for at least 4 hrs


we love it so much we make doubles

The turkey is going to be absent from our table this year, we are having ham instead.

Our full menu is:

Ham

Candied Yams

Corn Casserole

Roasted Broccoli and Calliflour

Cornbread Oyster Dressing

Homemade Mac and Cheese

Pasta Salad

Green Bean Casserole

Mashed Potatoes and Gravy

Glazed Carrots

Dinner Rolls

Cranberry Sauce

Pumpkin Pie

Pecan Cheesecake

i know im bias but it is so yummy , i look forward to it every year

when dissolving the gelatin in pineapple juice use very little just enough to dissolve it

My husband always surprises us with something new on Thanksgiving.  I don't ever know the actual menu until it's all ready.  He doesn't allow us in the kitchen on holidays, even to clean up after!
