I just received a text from my 10 year old son's basketball coach tonight about me being approached by an AAU coach to recruit him. This is so flattering for my son...he loves basketball. The bigger problem is, is that he plays travel lacrosse in the spring season and he is pretty good at that to. I don't

This is the first time my son has been talked to by an AAU coach, so I guess we need to go with new experiences.

Yeah, I mean, whatever his priority is. If basketball is where he plans on putting his effort in through school, then pursue it.

I would let him make his own choice, and make sure you're clear that he won't be able to do both.

Most AAU coaches can be pretty flexable about their players playing other sports. Its a huge opportunity for a child to be part of AAU team. My ss13 has been part of the program for 5 yrs now. He loves it....
