Do you plan your dinners?  We pretty much have to or else we would end up eating out every night since we both work.

What's on your menu this week?

I'm coming to YOUR house this week to eat! Man all that sounds amazing.

I am absolutely horrible at cooking and planning. I go with the flow and usually shop the day of or day before. I live down the street from the store so its convenient for me to go as often as I need to if I get a good idea. We eat out a lot.

I plan my menu when I go to the store. I base it off of what I buy. I am a coupon deal seeking shopper. If I don't like the price I won't buy it unless it's something I really need. I am not an extreme couponer at all just thrifty and like to get good deals.

Yes, I meal plan every week.

Mon: Home made chili, brussels sprouts and salad. This will make enough for my 5 year old to take chili mac for lunch on Tues. I just mix home made mac and cheese with the chili. lol

Tues: Chicken stir fry lettuce wraps and fried rice.

Wed: Veggie night - roasted sweet potatoes, cabbage, salad, asparagus and green beans

Thurs: Italian white bean soup with kale and salad(meatless)

Fri: Meatless baked ziti with home made garlic toast and salad

Sat: Probably go out to eat.

Sun: Pan seared salmon, spinach sauteed with garlic, leeks, mushrooms, lemon juice, a tad of butter and sea salt and pepper, carrots roasted with thyme and honey and salad

We have always sat down with our kids right before the first of the month and plan out dinners for the month.  That all changed back in March, and now we sit down and plan Monday dinners for the month, since that is the only time we are all together until they come home.

The next four Monday dinners for us are spaghetti, beef stroganoff, mushroom chicken and rice, and tuna casserole.

Kind of, it all depends on who is going to be home.
