My son is 5 weeks old. He has chaps lips. The skin is coming off. What can I put on it?

Oooh my daughter has horribly chapped lips too. And she rubs the Vaseline right off. Very frustrating indeed.

Vaseline is petroleum. Use coconut oil.

I used unflavored chap stick every few hours and after feeding mine & washing their lips with plain water. Try to keep his face covered when he's outside, so the winter air doesn't dry them out.
