How do you get a flat top stove clean after

Your brilliant husband sets a plastic bowl on the eye not realizing it was still hot???  I wiped it as best I could while it was still hot so it smeared in places, i tried scraping it off with a butter knife, but I can't get it all off HELP!!!

If the advice from others do not work, they have a cleaner called Goo Gone that might work??

Razor blade, it will be ok. The only thing that you really can't get off a smooth top stove is sugar that has been burnt on, so be really careful if you make candy!

thanks for all the suggestions, we have the flu running rampant here in the house right now, I may not get to it until this is over with :(  thankfully its on a small eye and can wait

Use a straight edge razor. I use it all the time and mine looks brand new. Dont push to hard or it will scratch the top. Good luck.

You want to scrape it off with a razor blade, then polish with glasstop stove polish.

Razor blades work wonders!  Good luck getting it off.
