For the life of me I do not understand how my SD9 knows what an Open marriage is? We were watching something on t.v. the other day where this woman cheated on her husband and my step daughter looked at me and said, "they should have just had an open marriage then"
My kids dont even know what that is, how in the world would this kid have known that?? My jaw almost hit the floor, I was so surprised.

I dont know if I should mention it to her dad, because she definitely didn't hear it or see it at our home. It must be something she has seen at her Mom's home or other family.. It completely shocked me that is for sure
It may not be the other home. I'm sometimes dumbstruck by the coversations my kids have with their friends. Thanks to the internet, cable TV, etc., my kids know far more than I ever did at their age.

My son saw porn for the first time when he was in the 5th grade. He was on the school bus and the child sitting next to him had it loaded onto his PSP. It's almost impossible to filter the stuff they see when it is everywhere.
