so was just curious. Do you let ur children watch tv, and if so witch type of shows? I have a 5 y/o and I like to watch ghost hunters, and sometimes he watches it with me. He does not have nightmares nor is he afraid of the dark. He does take a interest in the show, but was wondering if its approprate for a child his age......

I let her watch TV. Cartoons and a lot of educational stuff mostly. I love Ghost Hunters, but she doesn't watch it.

Yep.  They watch all sorts of things.  Right now my almost 4 year old is watching Power Rangers while her brother naps lol.

My children, and now my grandchildren watch TV, with adult supervision--meaning sitting with them--watching age appropriate shows.  Adults watch adult shows after the children go to bed.

My 8 year old loves Ghost Adventures and he watches it with my husband.  They pretend to hunt for ghosts around the house.  I think it really just depends on the maturity level of the child.  It's something that he is interested in and he also gets to learn a little history watching it.

I think as long as you monitor it and he's doing ok with it, that's fine.

I dont let my DD watch Ghost Hunters, but that is because she refuses to sleep in her own bedroom and is always saying she is scared of monsters.  I will have to admit that I dont watch Ghost Hunters if I am home alone and after dark, but I think I have an overactive imagination myself.  We spend a lot of time on Disney Channel.  For shows like Ghost Hunters it depends on the child, as yours seems to be handling it well.
