What made you decide on how many kids you would have?

Was your age a factor? Money? Job? Education? Space? Lifestyle?

It seems today so many people have kids first and worry about the responsibility later.
So many people rely on welfare and other programs to support their bad decision making.

So what was your reason or excuse?

Before we got married my husband and I discussed children, we both stated we wanted two children. We even picked out the names-one boy name and one girl name (we had two daughters) one daughter is named Micheal and one is named Jennette. Once my second daughter was born I had my tubes tied. We have never regreted the decision.   And I might add that I was 15 and he was 19 when we married (we did not have to marry) our first daughter was born when I 16 and the second came when I was 18.  We just knew that we were meant for each other. We have been married for 38 years now and have 7 grandchildren and are expecting grandchild number 8 in the summer.

I wanted at least one of each and got two boys. For personal reasons I couldn't have any more children so we adopted a girl. We always planned on having 3 or 4.
