How did your child acquire his or her nickname?
My oldest son's name is Jeremy. When he was little my parents used to call him Bear. It's just stuck.
My youngest son used to love, love, love that old Veggie Tales movie about Joseph and the dreamcoat. There's a song in there about "little Joe" and he used to sing it all the time, so now we call him Joe, even though his name has nothing to do with Joe or Joseph.
My daughter has several nicknames... MullyBeth, Moo, Moonie, M.E., M.... all are somehow related to her name.
My daughters name is TiaMarie her nick names are
Tia(for obvious reasons lol)
teeterbeater pumpkin eater
stinky miss(daddys nick name for her :p )
and baby squish (cause she was just a little squish ball of a baby when she was born)
Caleb is bubba.. when my daughter was a baby she couldn't say Caleb so we called him Bubba and it stuck
Lily is Lils... not sure why. I just called her that once and it stuck.
Matthew is Munchie because he wouldn't stop breastfeeding, he always wanted to nurse and even when he started on solids it was the same.
He got the name Matt Attack bc he is so rough and fast
My oldest is Rosalee so we call her Rosie
My other 2 go by their actual names
My son is Alexander named after his uncle Alejandro he was called Jano as a nickname. It became double special because my son was born in Texas and Jano is short for Tejano which means Texan. So that is why he is called Jano and everyone calls him that from family members, teachers, friends etc... He does know his name is Alexander but he prefers Jano lol
