My husband and I were driving back from my specialist appointment. He or my dad takes off because I can't drive that far alone.

Well, he starts talking about opening a hobby shop ( he's mentioned it before) but for high end hobbyists. He starts getting really excited talking about helicopters and such and finally says, but I wouldn't want to hit burn out and I stopped him and said
" darlin, you have an intense passion for a lot of different things and you have the knowledge of so much that I'm not sure you would ever be able to tell someone what you want to be " when you grow up" you love your job ( printing massive signage for car shows and expose) you can fix printing presses there and no one taught you how. You can fix industrial sewing machines at work. You can find a glitch in our tablets and fix it, work with fiberglass to fix boats, you are a graphic artist, you can install the big stereo systems in cars, you can keep our cars running and have " tricked" emissions two years in a row for my car. You have the spark that keeps your thirst for knowledge going and going. All wood working tools, all things electronic.... I can't even say you are a Jack of all trades b/c you aren't an amateur at anything, you KNOW how to do all of it!"
I'm a bit jealous because my passions are so limited and I don't have your thirst to learn everything. My passion don't run past my family, my animals and helping the animal shelter. I am just in awe of you. When parents tell their kids,
" you can do anything in life" they should reference you."

Silence, I can't do everything he mumbles. I giggle and said, you really can't take a compliment can you. He says I'm so glad you see me that way, I'm humbled by it, though.

Baby, you fixed your CAR with a piece of wire from a BIRD CAGE! Do you reaize how innovative and spontaneous that thinking was while stranded?

I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband, father, and most of all a man who will never quit learning , helping, and fixing things with more than DUCK TAPE! Hah!

Thank you! With the innundation of husband frustration we see here, my awe of him just overcame me yesterday and I wanted to share . :-)

Quoting Dibsy:

That's so sweet! I think it's great when a wife can brag on her husband like that. I don't think it's wrong at all to brag about your husband and be proud of the man he is. You didn't marry him to not be proud of him.
