If you caught your child sending &/or receiving nude pictures to their girl/boyfriend, what would you do?

Oh boy... I hope to never be in that situation.  My daughter knows that a kid caught in this situation can actually be prosecuted for child porn and I would hope that if she found a friend doing it she'd set them straight.

I would hope that I had raised her better than that, but teenagers make mistakes, sometimes big ones so it would be a huge issue. She would lose all cellphone, Internet and camera priviledges for a very long time. We would have another very long conversation about the Internet and why this behaviour is unnacceptable (even for an adult). And she would have to earn my trust back and her priviledges as well over a long period of time.

I would be extremely disappointed in her. Not even for the fact that she's obviously planning on being sexually active or is, because I don't expect her to not to want that as a teen, but also because of her severe lack of judgement and obvious misunderstanding of how severe the consequences of her actions could be. She would hopefully never do it again after the long process we would have to go through to make her see why her actions were dangerous and really not worth it.

First of all I'd make sure my kid didn't have a cell phone that could take pics. (once she was able to have a cell phone again)

No cam on a computer either.

I have no idea. My oldest is three. I can't imagine how much easier doing that is going to be ten years from now. She already knows how to take pictures with my phone and how to video chat. I've never sent nude pics of myself before, but I wasn't able to during my early teen years. We didn't have camera phones back then.

She would be giving up her phone; laptop; camera; anything with an actual camera attached to it. I would be giving her a Nokia 3310 with no fancy bells attached and any picture she is in would need approval from me before being shown to anyone. My DD is 21 so it's her life, but if she did it when she was younger; anything but her IPod would be gone simply because when she is travelling she gets extreme anxiety so she must have music. She would also be doing community service, counselling, and I would be doing everything in my power to get rid of the boy. It takes 2 to tango

We would be doing a lot.

A lot of talking. A lot of educating. A lot of changing Internet and photo access...

After Super Glue-ing her bra and panties on, anything electronic would be gone. There would be MUCH discussion, not only about sex and sexting, but about child pornography laws and how even 1 single naked photo of her could ruin her career or life, depending on what she wants to do for a living. Public office? Better hope that naked photo doesn't get out. A local princess or queen pageant? Better hope that photo isn't found. New boyfriend? Hope he's not turned off by the fact that anyone in the world can now see you naked.

I would make him/her explain themself and we would have a long talk about how serious it is.  Then the phone would be gone for a while and when they got it back it there would be a lot of restrictions.
