I haven't been following the trial super closely, but from what I have seen and heard the prosecution has not proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he intentionally killed Treyvon Martin.  I am not convinced that he is guilty.  Do I think he acted recklessly in carrying a gun and continuing to following Treyvon after he was told not to?  Yes, but I don't think he murdered him.  I think it was self defense after a scuffle.

I haven't been following this case at all. I can say that at the end of it, he will either be found guilty or not guilty ;)

I agree with this.  He thought he was big shit neighborhood watch with a gun, but does that mean he is a murderer?  I'm not convinced.

I think the prosecution made a mistake in charging him with 2nd degree murder.  Because of that the jury found not guilty and did not feel the lessor charge had been proven. I think he was wrong and he killed that young man but I don't think any jury would have found 2nd degree. I think had they charged him with manslaugter he'd have been found guilty.  He took a gun to a fist fight.  He was a cop wanna be and his own statments conflicted etc.  Had he listened to the dispather when he said "I am going to follow him" ..."sir we don't need you to do that" and tried to prove what a "good cop"/neighborhood watch person he thought he was............I don't think it would have happened.  It is sad anyway you look at it. He will never have a normal life and the world will never know the person Trayvon could have become had he had a chance to turn his life around. Which is WHY he was staying with his father......to try and get him back on track.
