My 4 year old dd let her 2 year old brother put bbs in her ears. Well we got one out but the other one won't come out so we took her to the hospital. Well they tried to get it out with warm water but couldn't then we got sent home. Where I am still trying to come up with ways to get it out. Does anyone have any ideas. Please

You took her to the ER and they didn't take it out?

I took her to the er but they couldn't get it out. The dr just looked in her ear and said it was a bb. Then the nurse said she would try to flush it out with warm water but after that didnt work they sent us home.

Then leave it alone. Clearly the drs didn't want you to see an ENT or use a little tool to get it out so leave it alone. And try to monitor your children a little better. That young shouldn't be playing with BBs.

I don't think I would have left with a Bb still in her ear. Has to be painful after being irritated with water and who knows what else while trying to get it out.

They wasn't playing with them they found them in the floor at my granny's house. Which my grandma thought she had them all swiped up and thrown away. Maybe u should know the whole story before judgeing someone when u don't know the facts.

I googled it and a few people suggested a magnet. If that doesn't work, I would go to a specialist tomorrow. They may be better equipped to handle the situation. I wouldn't just leave it in there though.

Lay her across your lap with that ear facing the floor. Grab the top, sides, and earlobes, and wiggle the ear pulling up and down and all around to loosen the bb and help it to slide down the ear canal. Gravity should pull it to the floor. It may take a while, just be patient and put a cartoon on for her to watch while you work.
