Buying a house

My boyfriend wants to buy a house with me. Meaning getting a loan and getting a house. We've been together for a year and a half and have a daughter together. I've done the house thing with my ex and well he got the house and me and my kids were stuck without a home. I love my boyfriend but I dont know if it will last forever, of course i want it to but you ladies know how it is. Should I maybe be atleast engaged to him first or something? That sounds stupid doesnt it? Help me out.

This absolutely. A home purchase is huge, even for married couples.

Rent from someone else than...I wouldn't rush into marriage or home buying.

being engaged doesnt mean we are getting married right this second. theres no place cheapier around here to rent. we would rather have our own place instead of wasting money on rent.

That's a smart idea, when I was a teenager I had the same experience. We rented a new apartment and a few weeks (3) he proposed to me! He was worried because of my parents being there 24/7. So it was a good thing we moved! And by the way, I'm still married to him! Good Luck, XMelindaX
