I'm from the KC area and will be moving back soon. There is Schliterbahn (not sure how to spell it), new casino by the race track (Hollywood Casino), I don't know if there are any kind of races going on at the race track, museums. There is the new sea life aquarium. Lego Land. I haven't been to Lego Land or the aquarium so I don't know how good they are. The Plaza has all kinds of food and shopping. Arabia Steam Boat. Liberty Memorial. There is so much to do really. If you want to drive about an hour north to St Joseph, Mo there is the Pony Express musuem, Doll Musuem,  Jesse James home musuem, Patee House musuem. If you go south about 20-30 minutes into Olathe, Ks there is Mahaffie House Stage Coach Stop (museum).

The first post covered alot of really good ideas! The only other things I can think of is Oceans of fun, Worlds of fun, Downtown City Market, KC Zoo.  Union Station has Science City and a "real pirate" something or other going on(havent seen it yet)!  Tiffany Springs water park is also fun and very affordable and Kaleidascope (in Crown Center) is free!

It's just my DH & I. Our mandatory stops are the City Market,  Chez Elle creperie down by the new Kaufman performing arts center, Crown Center Friday night so hopefully there will be a free concert in the Pavillion, Westport & the Crossroads for First Fridays [I'm an artist & run an art gallery]. IF the weather is nice, may try to hit the Powell Gardens.

Does anyone know about West Bottoms  or Brookside neighborhoods?
