Depends on the urgency , but not often as my mom ( for instance) will call me back and say
" hi! Did you call?" Well duh, yeah I called, you apparently saw it , and it is obvious I now have to repeat what I said! ( no, would never verbalize that frustration to my mom :-) BUT I HAVE told her " yes I did, can you hang up and listen to the message and call me back?" She'll giggle but will do it.

I don't with my husband or dad only because texting gets answered faster when they slow down to answer at work.

My son's school counselor ? Absolutely! That's considered urgent.

Depends on who it is I am calling. My mil rarely listens to voicemail. She will say I haven't heard from you in days. I then say, Mom, I left you a message when I called yesterday and the day before. LOL. She says oh, I didn't listen to my messages.  SMH, then why do you have voice mail? LOL

Of course.  I would not call someone unless I had something to tell them--in person or not.
