My ex texted me demanding that our son miss a day of school since he canceled visitation on the weekend to go club I texted him back saying no he cannot miss school. Am I being unreasonable?

OH HELL NO!! He is the one who cancelled, so he forfeits that visit. I'd be god damned if I would make my kid miss school...to convenience him. Sorry..education is more important. He's very selfish to put himself above your son's schooling. Stand your ground...he can get him on a weekend.

No you aren't being unreasonable. That is not a reason to miss school. Your ex should have spent time with his son instead of going to the club.

Hard to believe he actually suggested something like that!

Your ex sounds like a great guy. NOT!

Not unreasonable at all, especially since he is the one that cancelled.  Id simply tell him that he could wait till his next scheduled visit. and if he really wanted to see that he was more then welcome to go have lunch at school with your son.

Not at all.  You tell him that he can take off when the next time school is closed and they can spend time together.

No your not being unreasonable. He dont need to be missing school, because daddy went clubbing, instead of spending time with son.
