My ex texted me out of the blue and said he might want to start taking our son overnight occasionally and that he wants me to buy a bed for his extra bedroom as well as buy our son toys and clothes for his house I told him absolutely not. That if he wants to take our son overnight once in awhile he needs to take care of that stuff himself agree disagree?

I agree that he needs to have the accommodations before taking your son.

Absolutely agreed.  That makes no sense.  I would then make sure that overnight visits don't happen without a bed.  I'm currently separated and divorcing my husband, but he furnished my son's bedroom on his own.  I shared clothes (I buy everything, so it made sense) and toys.  My son has favorite toys and he takes them to his dad's house.  I always tell him to take more so that he can have toys in both places, but he is 5 and doesn't want to so I don't force it.

I would definitely make him pay for the things he needs within his own home.

Haha!! Idiot. His house, his child, his MONEY! You pay for what's at your house, he pays at his. What on earth.

Of course he needs to buy things for his place. He must be off his rocker to even ask you that.
