I am exhausted, my throat is scratchy, I am achey and I just feel ugh.  I do NOT have time for this.

Does taking vitamin C really work to stave off illness?

What else can stave off illness?

Try zinc and drink plenty of water!

A friend of mine and I were talking about this yesterday.

Yes, Vitimin C is especially good for allergies.

You can never overdose on them.  I will caution you, they can make your teeth real sensitive and can cause diarrea when you approach taking too many.

What I have read and practiced is you can take up to 500-1000 mg per hour.

My friend told me zinc is good for diverting allergies.  (We have been having a tough time here with cedar this winter in Central Texas.

I will add two favorite foods that help with promoting good health:  Spinach (fresh and frozen) and nopalitos:  cut up cactus that comes in a jar.

I do these things as preventive measures.

Of course, drinking lots of water is always excellent.

Blessings to you,

Veronica

Lots of water, and make sure you get enough rest.

Its not really going to make a difference once you are already sick, but wont hurt you to take it.

Fresh air believe it or not can help it pass a bit faster too.

I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks y'all. Hubby is working late tonight, so I am up until the kids' bedtimes.  9:00, last kid's bedtime can not come soon enough.
