Do you celebrate your child's "half-birthdays"?  If so, what do you do to celebrate?

Do you think a "half-birthday" is simply an excuse to have a party or receive gifts?

The only one of my children that I've considered doing this for is my eldest. Her birthday is the tale end of summer (in August) and everyone always seems too busy - last minute summer plans/vacations, getting ready for school, etc. I thought about doing it mid-january (half year) to make it special for her.

I am a Home Schooling, Vaccinating, Non spanking, Nightmare Cuddling, Dessert Giving, Bedtime Kissing, Book Reading, Stay at Home Mom. I believe in the benefit of organized after school activities and nosy, involved parents. I believe in spoiling my children. I believe that I have seen the village and I do not want it anywhere near my children. Now for the controversial stuff:  we're Catholic, we're conservative, and we own guns (now there's no need to ask, lol).             Aimee

Yeah, no. One birthday a year. That's it.

My birthday is dec 23 and my parents always struggled with people being to busy because of Christmas so we tried celebrating a half birthday one year. Just wasn't as special and we never bothered again.

I couldn't even tell you when my kids half birthdays are.

I never celebratedy half-birthday as a kid, but my son's birthday is right around Christmas/New Years (jan3), so if consider having a birthday party in the summer instead.
