when you make the cheese sauce you add an egg. When you bake it make sure your not overcooking and drying it out.

I add sour cream or greek yogurt, as well as an egg...

I boil the pasta and drain.. I make a sauce: flour, butter, milk, lots of cheese ( cheddar, jack, cream or mascarpone and more depending on my mood)..pour over pasta, add either greek yogurt or sour cream and egg.. salt/pepper...I also add dijon mustard to my cheese sauce. Then, I bake at 400 for about 30 minutes or until nicely set.

I melt some butter and whisk in an egg instead of using flour. then I had in some milk or cream (depending how I decide to make it) some black pepper and the I add in my cheese. My kids like it garlic so I use garlic butter, the egg instead of flour makes it super creamy.

I ahve used evap milk and it turned out nice as well.

I then pour it over the noodles and I add bread crumbs on top for a super delish crunch. I also like to add veggies into the mixture of noodles at times too.lol

My rue comes out lumpy and pastey.

So the yogurt and egg go on after the cheese. Does it make a difference?
