Does your local library have a summer reading program?

Ours does and it starts today! I registered my 3 year old for it.  I hope she wins some prizes. :) We are going to the library later this afternoon because they are having a reptile man come in and bring snakes.  We are turning in her 3 library books and getting 3 more (one for each year she is) and going to start logging her minutes.

We missed the reptile man , but I plan on taking the kids on Monday to spend at least an hour there for the lost time today.

Our library summer reading program started 3 weeks ago.  My kids enjoyed it a lot when they were younger.  My DD now works at the library so she is still participating!

I really don't know we seldom go there. Not that we don't read! We all love to read. My DD has an overflowing bookshelf of her own so I don't see the need to walk across town for the library.

YES! Thank God funds have not been cut for that! My thirteen-year-old and three-year-old signed up on yesterday. If my thirteen-year-old reads more than others (we are here in Los Angeles, a huge huge city with millions of people, so I do not know if that is possible), she could win an iPad or four days to Disneyland. As for my three-year-old, she will receive a free book after we checked off a certain amount of books.
