look forward to? nothing good. what was expected? a JC penney back to school haircut, jc penney clothing (that my mother deemed good enough for me to wear), checking to see that my glasses prescription was good for the upcoming year so i could read the chalkboard, checking that my hearing loss wasn't any worse and worry if I could hear from the back of the classroom (we were seated in alphabetical by last name and I was a W). so no, I didn't really look forward to any school until i was in my junior year in high school, I could drive.
However, our dd is looking to get into high school so she can see her friends again, and try out for volleyball
i was a comlete nerd. lOl.. I looked forward to learning new things. In HS, i looked forward to another year in JROTC.
Seeing all our friends that were away for the summer and drama club!

I totally couldn't wait to get back to school. I am a proud nerd.
Me too I was such a nerd but popular at the same time so I couldn't wait to get back to class especially history & to see my friends because my parents would never drive me to the next town over to see my friends, I could only see my friends who lived in my town, our high school was in the next town over.
