Once when our car broke down quite literally miles from anywhere, a really nice lady stopped and insisted that she give us a ride. We lightly joke that she was an angel because when she dropped us off she disappeared over a rise on a dry dirt road and we never saw her or the dust from her tires show up at the bottom of the hill.

Paid for our kids McDonalds meal. They did it at the drive through, their car was in front of ours. They asked the cashier how much our order was and paid for it. That was a pleasant surprise. =)

Thanksgiving 2005. Ki was about 9 months or so. I was driving to my aunt's for the first time and got hopelessly lost. Could NOT find her road. Stopped at a couple places and asked if anyone knew (homes, no businesses nearby). This was before I had a cell. Got a lot of evil looks (well, I Was interrupting their thanksgiving). Lots of doors slammed in my face. But one lady invited us in, offered us a drink and was just so nice while her oldest son changed clothes and then led us to where we needed to be. I sent her a thank you card (she told me her name, I looked her address up in the phone book) and she sent me a christmas card with $100 in it. Just because.

complete stranger gave me a flower just because. it was so random, but I was having an awful day and it really cheered me up.

I don't know where the sunbeams end and the starlights begin; it's all a mystery.
