question about elf on shelf

Ok ladies, bought my elf last night. When do you usually start displaying his little deeds.

I am sooo excited! I might get mine tonight if I'm up for going shopping :) I plan to start Thanksgiving night. I know it seems early, but that's when the holiday season kicks off for me. I'm actually giddy with excitement for the holidays this year :) I'm usually excited, but for some reason this year more so. Not sure why....

I got my elf last night and he is so cute. Got him at Hobby Lobby for 50% off. He is bendable and that makes it even greater. They had the elf on the shelf with a book but he was not cute at all. Plus I wasn't going to spend that much on him.

there is a post from yesterday about what the elf on the shelf is about. I think from yesterday. I am still trying to figure it out completely myself. I know there is a book to go with it but I just got the elf and going to do my own version

I too posted maybe in another group about this and I didn't have many responses so glad to see them on here, I plan on starting Black Friday because that's when the season kicks off for us!!
