Who does most of the holiday decorating?

Posted by   + Show Post

I usually do it all from the outside to the inside.  More because I am anal and like things a certain way.  What about you?

Quoting jryberg:

I do the majority - hubby does the outside lights and they (hubby and dd) get to decorate one tree. Other than that I do all the rest. I do let dd put out some of the stuff but then rearrange if she does not put it where I want it.

How many trees (Christmas or outside trees?) do you do?

I do the bulk of it, DH helps with the decorating the tree and then he does the outside.

I do ALL of the decorating inside and out.
NO ONE touches my trees but me...lol... if something goes wrong it's me ..
My boys have learned that when Nov.1st hits, they duck and cover...lol..even my 4 kitties do a run and hide...lol...
I have usually pre planned the tree themes and spots where they will go.
Decorations outside are all planned ahead and are done quickly before colder weather sets in. Most often I am the first to have her Halloween stuff down and Christmas stuff up outside in the neighbor by Nov.3.
The only help I ask for from dh is with the lights on the house other wise if he wasn't so picky about me getting up on a ladder (which I do all the time) I would do those also.
And bc I entertain during the Christmas Season, my house inside and out must be done by Dec. 1

We do it all as a family.  Although my husband gets up on the ladder to put the lights up outside.  I don't do ladders, lol.
