I had quite a time moving him tonight. Especially since my daughter came out in the middle of it! Thankfully I was folding clothes on the table and was able to hide him with a shirt.

I got them each a Christmas lollipop. The seeds are coconut M & Ms.

We move her every night.
This is what she did last night ;)

The Elf is a helper (scout, spy) for Santa. Every night (or when your child is not near) the Elf reports to Santa. He comes out every Thanksgiving (if you bought him tomorrow, he would come out that night), and then when he hears Santa's bells he leaves until next year.
There is a book that comes with him, or you can find the story online. My mom bought my brother and I each an Elf this year... both boys. There's a boy and a girl. The girl just has earrings, IMO they look similar.
The child(ren) names the Elf, and there's a space in the book that you can record his/her name, you can also register him/her online at elfonashelf.com. You do not need the book in order to register the Elf. For that matter, I registered Blossom, my Troll on the Shelf ![]()
Quoting coolassmom87:What is the whole Elf on a Shelf thing? Im confused.
