Hey ladies, so I filed for divorce finally last week, do any of you have any idea on how to serve him? We're in separate states, he's in the military and I don't know of anyone up there who would serve him... Do any of you ladies have any ideas?

Have you contacted the HR department for the military. Since you are still married you are still a dependent. Just a thought because out here the police/sheriffs dept handle it and well if he is on the base then the MP may have to give him the papers.

I agree with PP contact the base where he is and is if the MP's can service him .... if not then contact his commander / supervisor ( sorry don't know the correct term ) . And explain what is going on and ask how to get the papers to him .

If he's state side you can use a traditional process server I believe, but get in touch wtih a civilian liaison or JAG to be sure, the military may require specifics if he's on base especially.
