Chill In the Air (Poem)

There is a chill in the air.

The wind blows the leaves.

Nature’s paintbrush touches everything.

Memories of old are starting to stir.

Past things unpacked brought back to life.

The fire wood gathered for those long winter nights.

We gather together the old and the new.

Great stories to pass down for others to tell.

The dead come to life on ol’ hollows eve.

Children dressed up for tricks and treats to be.

Giving thanks for the blessings given to thee.

Fall has come and will all to soon pass.

For winter is coming for a long winters nap.
