And I'm so excited!
I have so many fun things planned to keep him occupied and we're going to keep on top of his summer reading. We've even got his summer journal ready to go. And for the first time in forever, I get to go on vacation. My first ever family vacation since I got married. And I get to bring DSS!
And, because, even though BM and I don't always see eye to eye, I'm going to have DSS write her a letter every day. I'm going to stick each one in an envelope. At the end of the summer, I'm going to tie the stack up with twine and send the stack with him to BM.
I know not everyone gets along with the BM, but her and I really do try and make nice, (we are friends a majority of the time, despite the odds).
It's my creative way of giving my son (I do say my son because he calls my Mommy and I've been in his life for as long as he can remember) a way to one: practice his writing but, more importantly, do something special for his BM over the summer while he's with us.
