What Do You Say?? Advice needed

So, I just married my dh in April.  Of course now when I tell people we are married, they ask the question, do you have any kids?....He has four kids from a previous relationship. I don't have any biological kids of my own.  I'm just wondering when people ask me this question....should I mention the step kids or not?  I have mixed feelings about it for various reasons....please tell me what you think.

When I get asked that question, I keep my answer short and simple. 'No, I dont. My husband has one son.'

What are the various reasons? I would probably say no I don't have any if you are typical ncp eowe with his kids if they are 50/50 or cp you could say my my dh has kids we don't have any together yet.

All depends on who is asking.

Mostly the reason is because he has four kids.  People tend to look at me like I'm an alien with two heads when I say that.  The other reason is because, when I asked him about it, he said he doesn't tell people about the kids.....sadly I think he's embarrassed by the amount of kids he has. :{

I usually say my Dh has 3 and together we have 1.

I would say, my husband has four kids. Keep it simple and truthful.

I would just say you have stepkids.  When people ask me how many kids I have I say we have 4 boys.

It's fine to say either I hdve 4 stepkids.... Or if that makes you uncomfortable.... My husband has 4 kids.

I say "we have 4 kids. Two are my husband's, one is mine, and we have one together"

Depends on who's asking. If I get the feeling it's going to turn into a conversation I don't want to have, I would simply say "No, I don't.". If it seems like it's just going to be a simple answer, then I'd say "I have 4 schildren." and leave it at that.

I'd just say that I don't have children, but my husband has 4 and leave it that.
