When we dropped sd off last night dh said bm looked like she had been doing drugs.  bm and i have a mutual friend who told me the other day she is cutting ties with bm.  at the time i didnt ask any questions cause i really could care less about bm.  so i called this friend and asked her why she is no longer friends with bm and this friend told me its cause bm admitted to using meth and stated her bf has been doing it around the kids!!  since we have to proof we are afraid to call social services, they contact bm and bm take sd and run before we ever find out the truth......is there any better way to handle this?  Who can we talk to??!!

If BM runs with the child wouldn't that be kidnapping?

You really don't have evidence (just a rumor) but you should still call social services if you are concerned.

um i wouldnt call social services id go right to the police if I were you. If BM and BF are doing meth around the children it is very bad for the childs health, not to mention the child will be in pain, and withdrawl when they come off the meth.

When we dealt with this, this is what WE did, though it works different everywhere. First, we called CPS and told them our concerns. They went and checked out BM's home and found nothing.we called the police as well, but  Second, we had a CPS worker come to OUR home and talk to SD8. SD told the worker about seeing BM snort white stuff up her nose and acting funny, also about squishing pills and eating them too. BM had to go to get tested, but came up inconclusive b/c she took something to try and cover it up. After this, we got 50/50.

Call a lawyer. Most of the time the first consultation is free.

Goo luck.

Take SD to a dr for a round of drug testing (urinalysis, blood, hair). If it is being done or "cooked" around SD, it should come up.
Call police and talk to a detective. They will want to talk to SD. They will call CPS... As will the dr.
Get SD into some kind of counseling. See what she tells the counselor - also another mandated reporter for CPS.
Ask friend if she'd do one more thing for you concerning BM. Go iver, when BM starts to ise... Go outside or in the bathroom to call police. Tell police that she's in the home, locked in the bathroom... Or just left because the users started doint it in her presence.
Thats about all the ideas I have. They should do a test on BM on the spot, no prior notification if they (cps) are doing their job correctly.

I would consult a lawyer to find out the steps it takes. I take drug use very seriously. I had a fucked up shitty childhood because my parents where on drugs.
